FORENSICS officers are searching for clues as to what started a blaze at a derelict pub in Luton in the early hours of this morning (February 25).
Fire crews were called to Eddie’s Bar in Church Street at 3.45am and found the first floor of the pub ablaze. The aerial platform ladder was called to the scene, along with another fire crew from Dunstable.
The fire took nearly three hours to extinguish and the site is being re-inspected today by fire crews along with police scenes of crimes officers.
The pub has been derelict for some years but it remains a distinctive Luton landmark with its ‘Guinness Time’ sign on the outside.
