A MAN assaulted six people and robbed one in an early morning rampage in Luton town centre on Saturday (May 7).
The incident began at about 5.20am when a man attempted to rob a 64-year-old man. Detectives say that when this attempt failed the man then walked down George Street towards Manchester Street, assaulting at least six other members of the public before robbing a window cleaner outside McDonald’s.
A man has been arrested in connection with this incident and released on police bail, but police want any victims of the assault who have not spoken to officers to come forward.
The officer in charge of this investigation, Det Con Allan McCarney, said only one victim had come forward so far and he was keen to trace all the victims involved in the incident.
Victims should contact Det Con McCarney on 01582 394334 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
