A FLOOD warning has been issued for the River Lea in the Luton area.
The river level is currently at 5.92 metres, recorded at 2.30pm today (June 11).
The typical river level range for this location is between 5.78 metres and 6.10 metres.
An Environment Agency spokesperson said: “There is a flood warning out at the moment. The river hasn’t flooded as yet but we are reviewing the situation and waiting to see what happens with the next bit of rain that’s coming this evening.”
The highest river level recorded at this location is 6.89 metres which was reached on October 23 in 2006.
