A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a quad bike accident in Chalton last night (April 20).
Two ambulance response cars and an ambulance attended the scene at 7.40pm.
Due to the nature of the call MAGPAS Helimedix, volunteer emergency helicopter medics, were asked to attend the scene.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Paramedics worked closely with the critical care paramedic and a doctor from the helicopter before the patient was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital.”
The Magpas Helimedix team treated the boy at the scene and on the way to the hospital where on arrival his condition was described as serious.
