A COMMERCIAL property agent says it has completed a total of 51 lettings so far this year – an average of more than two each week.
Let Direct’s successes in 2011 up until now have included an office suite of 160 sq-ft right up to a self-contained warehouse and storage unit in excess of 30,000 sq-ft.
A spokesman for Let Direct, which is based at Houghton Hall, in Houghton Regis, said: “Despite the media fascination with bad news and economic woes, Let Direct are proud to have been exceptionally active in the first few months of the year and have so far completed a total of 51 lettings in 2011.”
Let Direct act solely for Chamberlain Holdings in the marketing and letting of its vacant commercial and residentail accommodation.
Its portfolio is comprised of more than 150 self-contained office suites, 140 self-contained industrial and warehouse units ranging from 500 sq-ft to 100,000 sq-ft, plus a number of retail outlets, residential properties and land.
> Newly available for occupation are town centre offices of 1,498 to 3,182 sq-ft.
> There is also an open plan warehouse/storage unit in High Town, of 4,547 sq-ft, with additional offices of 1,382 sq-ft.
> There are also offices in Stopsley, in what is described as a landmark building, from 284 to 2,187 sq-ft.
> Among other properties being marketed by Let Direct is the Kingsway Industrial Estate, just off Hatters Way. The company is marketing the final refurbished unit on the estate. Unit M is about 4,010 sq-ft, self-contained with an open plan layout.
Let Direct say Unit M is ideal for storage or a manufacturing company. It has a new roller shutter door, separate toilets, a kitchenette and on-site parking.
Among the deals Let Direct has been instrumental in is Venue Central’s 25-year lease of the former Rileys Snooker Club at Unit 2 at Britannia Estates in Luton. It is an extension of Venue Central’s function hall and conference centre business.
