Mustafa wins but Ilyas defeated
There were mixed results for Lewsey ABC in two supporting contests at the Home Counties School Boys finals.
The event was held at the Chiltern Hotel and organised by Lewsey ABC’s Brian Noblett in conjunction with The Rotary Club of Luton.
Lewsey middleweight Mo Mustafa beat much more experienced opponent and CYP (formerly NABC) champion Jimmey Peterson of Cheshunt ABC on a majority decision.
Coach Danny Finn was pleased that his faith in his young senior boxer was more than repaid in this hard-fought contest.
Meanwhile, junior boxer Nabeel Ilyas was unlucky to lose a majority decision to Lee Blackmore of Aylesbury ABC.
