A CAR salesman has been fined £500 for selling a car which broke down on a motorway and “posed a potential harm to human life”.
Mohammed Abid, 28, worked at SA Motors in Taylor Street and sold the Suzuki Alto to a customer for £1,990 in March 2010.
She immediately encountered problems with the engine and tyres and contacted Trading Standards.
Abid was fined a total of £500 for selling an unroadworthy car after pleading guilty at Luton Magistrates Court on March 6.
