STUDENTS at the University of Bedfordshire are being encouraged to get involved in sport thanks to a National Lottery grant of more than £200,000.
Along with 40 other projects, the University is being backed by Sport England’s £10 million Active Universities fund to get more students playing sport as part of the legacy of the 2012 Olympics.
Research showed that less than seven per cent of the university’s students were regularly active.
The funding will make sport much more accessible to the whole student population.
