THERE were balloons aplenty and even a pink panther to help launch this year’s Race for Life at The Mall.
Luton event manager Hayley Gunn-Bruce said: “We were thrilled with the response - one lady even pledged to take part in full burlesque kit.
“There was terrific interest and we had a very busy day.” She promised this year’s event – at Stockwood Park on Sunday, June 26 – would be the biggest, brightest and best ever.
Organisers are encouraging 3,500 local ladies to put their best foot forward to join in the fun and raise as much as possible for Cancer Research UK.
Hayley described RFL as “a unique celebration of sisterhood and pride. The atmosphere is amazing as women from all walks of life come together to make a positive difference to those affected by cancer.”
