A THIRD teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a man at a New Year’s Eve party in Luton.
Police last night named the victim as Michael Geffkin, a German national who had lived in the UK for many years.
The 42-year-old died shortly after being assaulted at the party at a house in Helmsley Close, on the Hockwell Ring estate.
A post mortem examination showed he died from a heart attack following a stab wound to his chest.
The 18-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon (Monday January 2) on ‘suspicion of being concerned in the murder’, a Beds Police spokesman said.
Two teenagers arrested on Sunday have been released on bail pending further investigations. Their ages have not been released.
Police say the incident happened at the home of the man’s partner, and that the party had been attended by a number of youngsters.
