FORMER Chelsea Football Club star Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris will host a charity auction for disadvantaged children on December 3.

The charity Go Make It Happen aims to offer training and guidance to young adults looking to broaden their horizons. The charity was set up by Caddington resident Mark Harding and family after his cousin Sam Harding died at the age of 25 in a cycling accident in August.

Sam’s love of travel and exploration inspired the family to start the charity, and their first auction will include items donated by Iron Maiden, Saracens Rugby Club and Westlife. Spice of Caddington will be providing a curry buffet and Ron Harris will be joined by comedian Mickey Pugh and a live band. Tickets are available from gomakeithappenevent@gmail.com. or 07863 062137.
