WINTER might be closing in, but that’s not stopping youngsters at one Luton nursery from having lots of fun in the great outdoors.
Grasmere Nursery School has just been named a ‘forest school’ in recognition of its efforts to get children outside and learning about the natural environment. And it has the perfect facility for this – a large orchard at the back of the nursery.
Headteacher Valerie Thompson said: “A forest school lesson is a fantastic way of allowing young children to explore and enjoy their natural environment in a fun and innovative way.”
