FORMER Luton South MP Margaret Moran will stand trial for illegal parliamentary expenses claims in April.
Ms Moran, 56, who now lives in Southampton, faces 15 charges of false accounting and six of using a false instrument relating to expenses claims that are said to amount to around £80,000.
She did not appear at Southwark Crown Court for a brief hearing on Friday where a provisional trial date was set for April 18. A further pre trial hearing will be held in December.
It is alleged she made claims for homes in London and Southampton as well as her Alexandra Avenue home in Luton.
She is also accused of submitting forged invoices.
